The nettles – and what would Cornish Yarg be without them – are back! They arrive a few weeks later than the wild garlic leaves, which is fortunate because if they all appeared at the same time, our small but incredibly hardworking team of pickers would be working round the clock.

We need literally tonnes of leaves to keep us going all year so our harvest really is an operation to behold. Once picked, it’s as simple as freezing the leaves individually, to ensure they keep their shape, and getting back out there for more.

Two weeks from now, it will be all over for another year.
